WHO WE ARE:
 
The Gresham GreyWolves are a professionally operated summer collegiate baseball club in the West Coast League. The GreyWolves strive to provide their fans, sponsors, business partners, and investors with the very best in competitive baseball and affordable family entertainment. We are led by a group that is very civic-minded and seeks to give back to the Greater Gresham communities through their operations. Our opportunities will start in late May and run through the middle of August. We will expose our team to many facets of behind the scenes operations of a professionally run baseball team.
 
WHO YOU ARE:
 
You are an enthusiastic, hard-working individual interested in entering or advancing in the world of professional sports and/or entertainment. You should have a passion for entertainment, for the game of baseball, and have an ambition to learn what goes on behind the scenes of a professionally run sports organization. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, have good communication and interpersonal skills, and an eagerness to learn. Our team members are the driving force behind the fun family environment we seek to provide during each game, and thus must bring their enthusiasm, positivity and excitement to every game.

MEDIA RELATIONS

Assist in the development of our media relations strategy, and lead the implementation of this strategy across the organization. Will act as the primary writer for the team website, and coordinate all social media communications within the overall media relations strategy. Will work with our corporate sponsors to coordinate and manage all promotional activities across social media and our website. Will lead the effort to respond to all media requests, prepare press releases, and assist with game notes and stat reports. Has the opportunity to participate in the preparation of the team’s media guide. In addition to an internship opportunity, this position will pay minimum wage. This position has the opportunity to start in April and is part-time.
 
Requirements:
 
You will need to be an individual with good writing skills, an understanding of the game of baseball, and the ability to excel in the social media environments of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You will also need to be able to work well in a team environment, and have good multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.

FAN EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR

Lead the in-game promotions and entertainment for the team. This will include working with our sponsor partners to design the promotions, as well as the planning and coordinating of promotions that will be carried out during the home game schedule. These promotions will be carried out on-field and within the stadium seating. In addition to an internship opportunity, this position will pay minimum wage. This position begins at the end of May and is part-time.
 
Requirements:
 
You will need to be an individual with creativity and enthusiasm, ability to speak in a public setting, ability to work and think on your feet, and solve problems quickly. You will also need to be able to work well in a team environment, have good multi-tasking skills with attention to detail, and strong communications skills.

MASCOT OPERATOR

Operate in the Gi Gi the Grey Wolf costume to entertain the fans. You will be working closely with the Fan Experience Coordinator to participate in game promotions, including skits. The position will require substantial interaction with our young fans. This position will pay $30 per game for a 30 game home schedule. 
 
Requirements:
 
You will need to be an individual with some acting skills and creativity that enjoys working with children. You will need to have adequate physical fitness to be able to wear the full body costume for long stretches at a time. 

GAME DAY OPERATIONS POSITIONS

We will have multiple positions available for stadium and game operations. These positions will perform the following game day functions:
Ticket Operations
Concessions
Retail Merchandise
Scoreboard Operator
Field Preparation
Server
Security
Our game day operations staff may perform any number of the job responsibilities above during an individual game. Team members in these positions will need to have the ability to learn various functions and skills, and the flexibility to move from job to job in short order. The sales and ticket positons will need to have the ability to take payment and make change, as well as operate a mobile credit card terminal. The concessions position will need to have a food handler permit and the server will need to be age 21 and have the permitting to serve alcohol. The field preparation position will require a basic understanding of baseball field preparation. These positions will pay minimum wage and be part-time.
 
Requirements:
 
You will need to be enthusiastic, hard-working, and have an eagerness to learn multiple positions. You will have to enjoy working in a fast paced environment, have good communications skills and have the ability to think fast on your feet.

BARTENDER

You will be responsible for taking drink orders and pouring drinks for customers as well as for server staff, ensure legal and proper consumption of alcohol is maintained at stadium, taking payments and keeping cash drawer. Will also be responsible for set up and break down of beer garden, stocking, inventory management and equipment cleaning. This position will pay depending upon experience. Tips will likely be available for this position also. This will be a part-time position.
 
Requirements:
 
You will need to an enthusiastic, hard-working individual, who can think fast on your feet. You can provide a high level customer service. You will need to have bartending experience, and be able to handle cash and credit forms of payment. You will need to work well in a team environment and have good communications skills. You must be at least 21 years of age, have your food handlers permit and your alcohol server permit.

CORPORATE/TICKET SALES

You will be responsible for sales of corporate sponsorships, season ticket sales and group ticket sales. You will be responsible for working with our local and regional corporate sponsors and various community organizations to help them tailor their messaging to achieve their objectives, and serve their constituents. You will be working to create and maintain relationships with organizations of various types, in order to drive this aspect of our business. Pay for this position will vary based on your experience. This will be a part-time position with flexible work hours
 
Requirements:
 
You will need to be enthusiastic, hard-working individual, who loves the game of baseball and professional sports entertainment. You will need to have sales experience, and be able to learn the marketing assets available to the franchise, and be creative in how you put those assets to work for our customers. You will need to be a good communicator, and be able to provide great customer service.

The Gresham GreyWolves are a collegiate summer team in the South Region of the West Coast League, located in Gresham, Oregon. We call Oslund Field at Mt. Hood Community College home, and are named after the Grey Wolves that used to populate the area. After our inaugural season in 2016 as an expansion franchise, we look forward to providing the city with family fun and entertainment for years to come!
